''Mary Poppins'' Literary Analyze

What happens if you needed a new nanny what would you do? This puzzled the banks. They didn’t know what to do; their kids purposed the type of nanny they wanted but their father ripped it up and threw in the chimney. Then the next day the banks found their solution they were looking for. Mary Poppins arrived. The story ‘’Mary Poppins’’ by P.L. Travers is a romance that clearly has all the right characteristics, symbolism, and purpose to be a romance.

The movie ‘’Mary Poppins’’ has all the plot line to be a romantic movie there is a minor conflict; Banks keep losing all the nannies, Hires Mary Poppins. Then ends with life symbolism everyone is happy and the dad turns nice. The characteristics of Mary Poppins perfectly line up. Marry Poppins can’t do anything wrong. Mr. Banks is evil, laughable, and weak. ‘’Mary Poppins’’ is also highly unrealistic.

As there are characteristics there is also symbolism. A big thing that shows that this is a romance is symbolism; symbolism is just everyday things that tie into the movie according to the type of literature it is. The major things that show us that is symbolism are the animals in the picture they go into, the luxurious house they live in, and morning.

Not but not least there is the purpose of Romantic movies are to escape from reality and this is movie that funny and does that easily does this. The other purpose of romance is to take us to a world of innocence. ‘’Mary Poppins’’ has no crime, it is innocent and perfect.

‘’Mary Poppins’’ is my favorite movie and is obviously a romance. It has everything perfectly positioned to be a romance it has a plot line, the characteristics are perfect, and purpose matches the movie. I love this movie it is funny and awesome I will always love it.
