The Pearl Reflection

The Pearl by John Steinbeck is a slow book in the beginning. Kino the main character's 1st son get stung by a scorpion. When this happens he must save him so he rushes to the doctor to ask him to heal him but he doesn't have the money so the doctor denies him. After this he goes diving for pearls to pay him with and he finds a one of a kind gigantic pearl. After this his baby Coyotito's poison recedes so now he is left with lots of money. The doctor hears of this and now he pretends that he is his patient and sabotages the baby so he gets sick then heals him so Kino has to pay him profit. After he heals him Kino goes to bed and someone comes into his house to steal the pearl. I believe this was the doctor and this is so far what has happened in the book The Pearl by John Steinbeck.
