Sturborn people

In everyday life you will always run into people that always think they are right.  This is the same situation in Dead Man's Path by Chinua Achebe.  In dead man's path there is a new headmaster of an African school.  In this city there is funky ancient traditions that the local people still believe in them.  Later, in the short story Obi the new head master of the school notices a woman walking on an old ancient burial ground.  He then goes and talks to the village priest and they both state their arguments.  Obi says "We cannot allow people to make a highway of our school compound." and then he puts up the  barbed-wire fence.  The next morning he finds the barbed-wire fence tipped over and the school vandalized and soon gets fired from his job for being stubborn.
