Setting in The Lightning Thief

The setting in the Lightning Thief By Rick Riordan is mainly in a small camp for half-bloods called camp half-blood.  This is very important, because at this camp he is protected from many monsters that want to kill him, and if he wasn't warned before he could train he could've died. If the camp was located farther away from New York which is where Percy lives, then it would have been harder for him to get there, and he might have never got there. Also if Percy did not go to Yancy Academy in the beginning of the book, then he ever would have gotten to get to know Grover, who led him to Camp Half Blood.  Later they go out of the camp and encounter many monsters.  If he hadn't been trained before hand he could be dead.
